Tour Plan

Day 1 Nairobi to Tsavo West National Park

On the first day of the safari, your driver will pick you up from the hotel or airport upon arrival. You will then embark on your drive to Tsavo West National Park, which will take approximately 6 to 7 hours.

Tsavo West National Park is a popular tourist destination situated in the semi-arid area of the Taru Desert near the town of Voi. The park is famous for hosting a large population of man-eater lions and red elephants, which get their color from the red dust they roll in. On arrival, you will immediately have an en-route game drive as you head to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Mzima Springs, where you may view the crocodiles and hippos swimming underwater. Later, drive back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 Tsavo West National Park

On this day, you will enjoy game drives with your driver-guide, seeking the local wildlife and learning about this spectacular destination. You will enjoy the volcanic landforms, including the scenic Shetani Lava, an ancient lava flow that originated from the nearby Chyulu Hills. You will also visit the Mzima Springs, a superb wetland where game viewing can be done on foot. There will be great mammals to look forward to, including African lions, Nile hippos, leopards, savannah elephants, lesser kudus, and cheetahs. Birds to expect include golden-breasted starling, tawny eagle and Eastern paradise whydah.

You will also visit the beautiful Ngulia Valley Rhino Sanctuary, where we will search for black rhinos. The rhino experience is a highlight of our Kenya bush safaris. The indigenous baobab trees will illuminate your journey through this great place. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 Tsavo West to Diani Beach

You will go on an early pre-breakfast game drive to visit Mzima Springs. Here, crystal-clear water emanates from the underground springs believed to originate from Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy aquatic life with hippos, crocodiles, fish and various bird species viewing. Return to your lodge for breakfast. Then, you will check out and have a short game viewing en route to Voi or Mtito Andei train station. You will depart by train to Mombasa and later be transferred to Diani Beach, arriving at your hotel early in the evening. You will check in and rest for the day.

Day 4 Wasini Dolphin Safari

Leave your beach resort or lodge early for an amazing tour of the Wasini dolphin adventure. The scenic route will take you through lush coconut and cashew nut farmlands and the villages of the Digo people. On arrival at Shimoni Jetty, board a motorized glass bottom dhow (boat), which will sail you through an enchanting seascape of islands to the richest marine park in Kenya (Kisite Island).

Being escorted by a dolphin expert makes this Wasini trip more enjoyable. Kisite Island's natural coral garden is where you will snorkel and marvel at the prolific marine life. A traditional, sumptuous seafood lunch will be served on board to ensure maximum time with the dolphins, or you can proceed to Wasini Island's restaurant. Mupunguti Island exploration provides good vantage points for watching the dolphins play and listening in the tranquil silence out for dolphin whistles blowing off. Thereafter, sail back to Shimoni Jetty for your transfer back to your hotel.

Day 5 Diani to Nairobi

You will spend the morning at leisure and then transfer to Nairobi as you reach the end of your safari.
