• Depart Nairobi and drive to the Sirimon Gate (2,650m) near Nanyuki.
• After completing park formalities, you begin the hike. The trail winds through forest and then into a heathland zone.
• Hike to Old Moses Camp, where you will have dinner and spend the night.
• Elevation Gain: ~650m

Hiking Time: 3-4 hours

• After breakfast, you'll continue your ascent, hiking through the moorlands.
• The trail offers spectacular views as you enter Mackinder's Valley.
• You will reach Shipton's Camp, which is nestled directly beneath the main peaks, offering dramatic views of Batian and Nelion.
• Elevation Gain: ~900m
• Hiking Time: 6-7 hours

• This is the most challenging and longest day. You wake up very early (around 2-3 a.m.) for the summit push.
• The ascent to Point Lenana is steep and takes place in the dark to reach the summit for sunrise.
• From the summit, you enjoy a spectacular sunrise over the African plains and the main peaks.
• After the summit, you descend back to Shipton's Camp for a brief rest and breakfast.
• Then, you continue the long descent all the way back to Old Moses Camp.
• Elevation Gain: ~785m (to the summit)
• Elevation Loss: ~1,685m (from the summit back to Old Moses Camp)
• Hiking Time: 9-12 hours

• This is the final leg of the trek. You enjoy a leisurely and easy walk back down the trail through the forest.
• You'll reach the Sirimon Gate, sign out, and meet your vehicle for the drive back to Nairobi.
• Elevation Loss: ~650m
• Hiking Time: 2-3 hours
