Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi- Masai Mara
After breakfast, our safari guide will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel. Then Proceed to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Our Drive will be approx. 6 – 7 hours from Nairobi with brie stop enroute at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to enjoy the stunning views of what is the world’s largest valley, said to be even visible from space. On arrival at our camp, we will check in and have lunch, refresh and rest. Later in the afternoon, we shall embark on a short 2-hour safari game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve. Later on, have dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Masai Mara
This will be an activity-filled day with optional balloon rides, sundowners, and bush walks. You will be required to wake very early at 4.00 am (Depending on the camp you are booked in) in the morning ready for the balloon ride over the beautiful plains and landscape of Masai Mara. Watching and admiring the awesomeness of the wild over the sky and admiring the meandering of the Mara River.
Later after a 60 minutes balloon ride, you shall be received by a special reception from the camp with a champagne breakfast surrounded by zebras, topis, giraffes, antelopes and Impalas. Embark on a half-day game drive in the reserve, in search of the big fives, big cats, and some unique bird species. Later drive back to your camp for lunch and rest before embarking on a 2-hour game drive in the reserve. Afterward, head over to a game walk and later a sundowner moment overlooking the golden horizon of the African Skies. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge
Day 3: Masai Mara
After breakfast you will embark on a full day game drive along the dynamic Mara River. You will spot the innumerable wildebeests cross as crocodiles, lions, and other predators await them. In the afternoon you can have a cultural tour of one of the oldest inhabitants of East Africa, the Maasai. This noble tribe is one of the very few tribes that have retained most of its traditions and cultures. It has a team of traditional dancers who dance to their call-and-response singing and perhaps their most widely known dance the ‘adumu’ or rather “jumping dance.” You can get to join in the dancing as these flexible male dancers jump higher and higher to the rhythms of the enchanting music accompanying their dance strokes.
Day 4: Masai Mara-Nairobi
On your last day, you will have breakfast and check out of the camp, en route with a short game drive as you drive back to Nairobi. You will have your bush breakfast in the reserve along the Mara River banks enjoying the sightings of hippos and crocodiles.
You will arrive in Nairobi and get dropped at the hotel / residences or the airport for your home-bound flight.
